Hotel You're looking for the warmth and individuality of a family-run hotel but want the ultimate in comfort and the finest food and drink in atmospheric restaurants and relaxing bars too. You'd like the grace and charm of an exquisitely decorated Victorian building, but need the very latest state-of-the-art facilities for a major conference or wedding. Relax, your search is over. Welcome to Tullyglass House Hotel. Set in acres of lush lawns and tranquil woodland, just outside Ballymena, Tullyglass House Hotel is a mere thirty-minute drive from the heart of Belfast. We are near internationally acclaimed golf courses and our delightful countryside boasts fabulous fishing and some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe. Who says you can't have it all? HistoryA wonderful example of late Victorian architecture, Tullyglass House dates from the 1890's, when it was built as a private home. When the McConville family bought it in 1994, one of the great attractions for them was that the old house, by now operating as a popular restaurant and bar, had retained its unique charm and elegance. Determined to preserve the house's period appeal, the McConville's spent some £8 million transforming Tullyglass into a sophisticated modern hotel, while retaining all its Victorian character. New features, like the beautiful glass conservatory, were seamlessly added to ensure that, while the hotel offers the world-class facilities demanded by today's visitors, the unique atmosphere of Tullyglass continues to be a major attraction. Now, with the Clock Tower, a spectacular new function venue offering state-of-the-art facilities for weddings and conferences (see Modernisation), you really can find the best of the old and new worlds at Tullyglass. - Top ModernisationWhen the McConville family bought Tullyglass House in 1994, they were determined to blend the natural Victorian charm of the building with a hotel that offered the finest modern facilities. They soon embarked on an £8 million transformation, adding atmospheric restaurants and bars and features such as the delightful glass conservatory. Now, the modernisation programme continues apace with the introduction of the the Clock Tower, a multi-million pound new conference and wedding venue, which can cater for any event from major business conferences and international trade fairs to press conferences and functions of all kinds. Equipped with the latest audio-visual technology, such as overhead projectors, PA systems, radio microphones and large screens, as well as open zones for wireless enablement, the Clock Tower venue can cater for up to 1200 delegates sitting or 800 at tables or be divided into four separate areas able to accommodate up to 200 people each. It also has a stage for live entertainment and the most up-to-date sound systems. |
