History A wonderful example of late Victorian architecture, Tullyglass House dates from the 1890's, when it was built as a private home. When the McConville family bought it in 1994, one of the great attractions for them was that the old house, by now operating as a popular restaurant and bar, had retained its unique charm and elegance. Determined to preserve the house's period appeal, the McConville's spent some £8 million transforming Tullylass into a sophisticated modern hotel, while retaining all its Victorian character. New features, like the beautiful glass conservatory, were seamlessly added to ensure that, while the hotel offers the world-class facilities demanded by today's visitors, the unique atmosphere of Tullyglass continues to be a major attraction. Now, with the Clock Tower, a spectacular new function venue offering state-of-the-art facilities for weddings and conferences (see Modernisation), you really can find the best of the old and new worlds at Tullyglass. |
